Steve Irwin might be dead, but his zoo isn't. I spent the day there on Friday with Squire and threeparts, and it was indeed very enjoyable. So many animals, omg. I am a sucker for animals (providing they are not dogs).

Major photo-dump beneath - primarily wildlife - Australian wildlife, plus tiger, cheetah, elephant and otter, and others.

So, it became VERY apparent to me this weekend while I attempted to work on my long owed commissions, that I am probably going to need a new computer sooner rather then later..so here's my question for you tech savvy folks out there...


I've ordered my comps through DELL before, but Matthew told me that recently you can only get your Dell with the Windows Vista OS (EW Vista!). Now I've heard rumors that Vista doesn't always run older programs, and this could be very bad indeed. I have my Flash MX 2004 (and Dreamweaver etc etc etc) which I actually PURCHASED, and I don't want to be forced to drop that load of money again..so does anyone have Vista and know if it runs Flash MX 2004?? The studios that I do work for use that program in particular so its VERY important that my new comp be able to run it.


The OTHER alternative would be to get the new Imac, because Matthew is HORRIBLY in love with it, and apparently it can run Apple AND Windows OS? Does anyone have their Imac set up like that? Does it run okay...and even better, does it also run Flash MX 04 (I have heard that flash runs wonky on Macs)? I kinda don't see the point in getting a mac when all our software is for PC (and also I kinda don't like Macs at ALL..'cept they're pretty and their screens are AMAZING)

Soo...any suggestions? Advice? I'm always easily confuuuzed by these things :P ;)

Semi-hiatus, desu.

I'm leaving this afternoon to spend the week in Algarve (aka the place for sun, sand, water and- Erm. That's pretty much it.) and then, if everything goes well, I'm going up north (way up north @_@) to Porto for a cosplay event. I'm going to give Sakura's cosplay a shot again. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

I still have no idea how I'll return from Porto to Lisbon. But I will.

... somehow.

God I'm so sleepy. *falls over*

Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'll have internet connection every now and then, so I'll still be around to annoy you guys a little.

Hey there, it's me! Remember me from...oh, last November when I was NaNoWriMo-ing? Well, "The Albus Chapters", which are mainly about the "Summer of 1899", are finally finished! At the moment they are on FFNet, so please excuse the funky formatting.

Rating: Chapters 17-19 are PG-13 due to sexual references, while Chapters 20-22 are a very mild R, due to alcohol misuse and violence.

Saw Dark Knight. Was pretty awesome, no news here. Though what is up with all the Joker fangirling? Like, ok he is amazing, I got you, but EW THE SMACKING NOISE WAS KILLING ME. Oh, but my main problem with the Joker fangirling? WHERE IS THE TWO FACE LOVE?????? TWO FACE!!!!!!! Ok, besides the fact that I have a massive, massive crush on Aaron Eckhart (best smile ever ok thanks), the ugly face was done so well! And I had always liked Two Face in the old cartoon w/ his weird blue face xD. Man I really want to go watch some of the 90s batman cartoon now. MISTAH JAY. EDIT: I guess I should point out that I friggin loved the Joker, I just don't get some of the swooning going on.. xD.

I decided that me, my brother and his friends all need to go to A-Kon in Dallas next year and we will dress up and it will be greatness. IIIIII really want to go as Alyx Vance. I COULD TAN A LOT it could work. I swear I know someone who has a brown jacket just like that, and the hair I could either do to my own, because I have always been interested in short hair and I have no problem dying it OR I could just get a wig I guess. HMMMM. In any case, if I don't get tan enough or can't do it, I could easily pull off Mossman. And there's always TF2 characters I could genderbend x).

I'm apparently no longer old enough to decide what time I want to go to sleep. On my holiday.
I normally stay up til about 2 and I would stay online until that time.
Now i'm apparently not allowed to do that.
If i'm going to be up til that time because I can't sleep why can't I do what I want? It's my laptop, i'm not disturbing anyone.
Either way now I have to be off the laptop by 12. Now i'm spending the other two hours playing on the gamecube.

On a slightly less rant-y topic I have to admit I find the adverts for Subaru, the car, rather amusing.
I must say that I find the way they pronounce the word annoying.
Still the way it goes on saying 'Subaru's been here and here and here' very funny. I keep thinking about Subaru, the character. 
My mind has been warped.

SSBB owns a little part of my soul now. 
I officially can't play as Falco even though I could use him fine on Melee. Apart from him i'm still able to use the characters I used to use on Melee.
So much love for Lucario too. He's now one of my regulars with the few from melee.
I'm trying to use Marth. Very funny when I can't see where I am. Who needs a cloaking device when I can lose myself normally?
